About Us
Fundación Reservas del País, Inc. was established on November 21, 2003, with the support of Banco de Reservas. It was created with the objective of promoting and implementing a microfinance fund to serve the country's microenterprise population, acting as a second-tier institution, channeling loans through non-governmental organizations. It was later incorporated in 2004.



Given in the need for support of the Dominican society on social causes, from 2005 to October 2012, the Ministry emphasized its purpose and objectives on these issues, contributing to improving the quality of life of Dominicans through assistance projects that promote education and health.
Starting in October 2012, it has been energizing its activities to offer financing to charitable microfinance institutions such as cooperatives and non-profit associations with microcredit portfolios.
In addition to providing credit facilities, since then, it has been offering free technical assistance and training to both its borrowers' employees and their associated microentrepreneurs.
Today, Reservas del País is a benchmark in the microfinance sector, with a unique model throughout the Antilles, having adapted its services to the current needs of the sector through credit products that promote financial inclusion and boost the economy in the country's most vulnerable sectors.
